Adding student teachers or supply teachers to the system

These are the steps for adding a trainee or supply teacher to our Google Classroom or Teams system:

  1. IT creates a new generic GC or Teams teacher account for your school, e.g. MusicTraineeTeacher@ or MusicSupplyTeacher@. Teams accounts should if possible be created manually – some auto scripts for Teams can cause problems for the Microsoft Graph software we use.
  2. The account should then be linked to the GC or Teams classes that these teachers are likely to teach. This can often be done by the main music teacher.
  3. Then the teacher would be able to log on to Focus on Sound and link their own classes to Focus on Sound in the usual way.

You or IT might prefer to set up a new account for each new trainee or supply teacher. That’s up to you.
